About a year ago we met and it was plain to see,
You would always be very special to me,
You were polite and always friendly to me so that showed me you always would care,
You accepted me for who I was flaws and all and that showed me how you would always be there,
We spent days together and you always took time out to make sure I was okay,
You taught me how to let my guard down and no matter what happened best friends you promised we would always stay,
You showed me and taught me things about myself I never knew,
As much as you used to always say it, you always inspired me too,
Even though we had to part and return to our former lives to see what our next journey would bring,
I know we will always be blessed with the gift of friendship, and our connection is made by our bond which is stronger then anything,
Our friendship is pure everlasting and true,
Like the ocean so deep or the sky so blue,
So until we meet this Summer I say this to you Mary my confidante and my best and truest friend,
Thank you for showing me how easy it is to connect with someone, and I will always cherish you for showing me the joy of having my first best friend! :)
I know my friend Mary is not on this sight, I just wanted to write this poem to show her how much her friendship means to me. I hope you all enjoy it! :)
